Is This a After Market Head Unit?

This is the Head Unit that is installed in my 05 4Runner. The guy at the dealership said he wasn't sure if it was after market or not but they are fixing it for free. I did a Google search with the name and nothing really came up, no pictures that matched and only a couple websites.

Does anyone know what I have here? Is it any good?

well it's definitely aftermarket... do you know the brand?

There is no writing on it except for "LM7508 DVD" on the lower right hand side.

Once I put a space in between "DVD" I started getting more hits on Google. It appears to be a cheap Chinese head unit. So I am probably just going to put my older Sony "Xplode" head unit.

Is the sound really bad? How is it compare to your sony explode?

The thing is not working so I don't know how it sounds. But for some reason it was interfering with the back window. The dealership fixed the window and ordered a part for the stereo but I think I am going to just take it out and put my "Xplode" head unit in. It looks nice in person but the research online shows it to be a Chinese made POS.

At first I thought it was after market when I saw it. But when the dealership offered to fix it for free and thought it may have been a Toyota product or something.

The Sony Xplode was in my old Ford Ranger and it was a good dead unit. The Ipod cable had a short in it so at times it would not want to work bt right now its all I have.

Why don't you just have the dealer order a factory head unit for it? That would probably be better than a Sony.

Hi there, i got the same player. But I have an issue here. :help: How to i set the clock? It is stated in the manual press DISP in idle state but I cant go the the clock page. Dont mind taking pictures on how to adjust the clock. :help:
