That’s generally a little lower than what I see them go for in my area. I got my 04 SR5 with 111k miles for $10k(everything included, sales tax, registration fees, etc.). So, I would at least check it out if it’s not to far away of a drive. I would check the history on the vehicle though too. Could be low priced due to a salvage title, but that’s unlikely.

Excellent advice. Trucks from that area are known to have rust issues. Look it over really good or have someone else do it.

I recommend always getting a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) if you don't know what you're looking for. Even if you do, its always good to get a second set of eyes on it.

4. Make sure the truck will go into (and out of) 4H and 4L.
5. Ask when the calipers (brakes) were done last (prone to seizing)

Get the VIN and run a CarFax on the vehicle. Not always 100% complete history, but it gives a good idea. Definitely worth the ~$40 for piece of mind.

Multiple owners (3+) can be something to look out for.
