Is this a ground cable?

As I'm finally nearing the completion of my engine swap, I ran into this cable which appears to be a ground for something in the vacinity of the starter. I took pictures of the area before I removed the engine, but unfortunetely I had already removed it before the pic was taken. I have a feeling this is kind of a noob question, and I'm just over looking the obvious. But my actual question is where does this go?

if thats the starter wire it goes straight to the batt, but it looks connected in the pic.

big wires like that dont go far, follow it, looks like a ground.

Looks like the ground to the engine. You have two main grounds coming from the battery. One to the chassis and one to the engine. Don't know what engine you have there. On the 3z, the engine ground is on the driver side. You can also tell by the amount of gunk on it that it wasn't covered, so a hint that it wasn't a positive connection. Clean the mating surface of the lug and the surface it connects to. Bad grounds cause all sorts of weird crap that will take you hours to track down.

good luck

I agree with crash, it looks like the ground that bolts to the block in front of the motor mount on the 22re.
