I'm looking for a source for a service manual for a 2003 4Runner.

I don't normally see the stickies since I only use the "view new posts" button. I recall an ebay manual discussion a month or so ago, but there wasn't much substance.

From what I can tell the guys selling them on eBay are not selling 'legit' copies. They've just downloaded all the PDFs (and there hundreds of them) of the shop manual from techinfo.toyota.com.

A lack of any kind of menu or searching or index of the data is a big red flag. Another one is lack of pictures of the CDs to help prove they are real. This guy (above link) claims to be an authorized reseller, but I've never seen part numbers for a CD version of the manual.

If you're okay with buying non-authorized copied copyright materials, then go for it.

I suspected this guy was selling pirated copies somehow. I don't willingly buy illegitimate copies of software.
