Is this corrosion on my tires? :(

I live by the ocean in the bay area and just noticed this recently. Corrosion?

Yes...that is Corrosion.

I'm in San Francisco, Sunset District.

I'm a few blocks away from the Ocean & a few blocks away from the Zoo.

I was my rims religiously, so I don't have the corrosion. Plus, in the morning, it's always foggy, so I hose down all our vehicles. I'm sure our water bill is very high.
