Is this normal for my HVAC?

Okay, so I've noticed another weird thing that my 4runner does.
If I put the air selection on upper (meaning not feet...it still does it here, but you can't feel it as much) but the power selection is off, I still feel a lot of air...and it's the same temp as when I turned it off.
I'm guessing this is not normal. Am I right?

How is the recirulation set when you feel it? If recirc is on, then it sounds weird. If recirc is off (outside air coming in), then you should feel air....it does it on our Camry and on the 4Runner.

recirc is off. So this is normal? Just kind of weird I guess. I guess as long as the compressor isn't running, it's okay.

When I have recirc off too, and the power off, I also can feel the air temp being the same as when it was on.. as for feeling air, i thought it was normal when in fresh air..

Every car on the planet does this when in fresh air mode to some extent.....not a 4Runner specific thing.

yeah, i've definitely felt the air in every car i've driven when in fresh air, but the 4R is the first i've driven that i noticed the temperature staying the same in.. probably just haven't noticed it before..

When the recirc is off you all calling for outside air. That air comes in through the HVAC system, which will heat or cool depending on what you have your temp control set at. If you set your temp setting at "LOW" and fan speed set off, there should be no heat mixed with the outside air coming in. It should work just like any manual system. When the temp is set for heat the outside air flows across the heater core, set for cool it will be diveted.

I turned on the recirc and no more air.
