Isolated CEL P0441 - Clean VSV?

Started getting isolated P0441 code now that weather has warmed up into the 80s here. No other codes checked or pending.

Started a week ago--got a code, cleared it. Drove for three or four more days and then it came back.

Checked gas cap, good seal with no impedance. Checked hoses, no leaks noted. I've had a hard time findings model specific information, but lots of people point to the Evap VSV.

My plan of action is to replace all the vacuum hoses (I was planning on doing this soon anyways), then try to clean the VSV. One thread I saw on another vehicle involved spraying through it with carb cleaner, then spraying through with WD40 and allowing it to dry before replacing.

I'd obviously prefer not to switch the entire canister. Has anyone had success cleaning this valve to get rid of that code, or is it pretty much a required replacement at this point?
