ISR Mod help w/ pics!

I already posted a thread on this and still could not get a solid conclusion... I actually have installed it before and ran the FPR hose to the front plenum and worked fine for a day but then two days later i could not get any power when i gave it gas. *on note my check engine light was on and i needed to clean my MAF (cleaned now) so i do not know whether i lost power because the computer could not get an accurate reading on how much fuel to dump into the system and thus didnt give me enough power to get going. The ISR worked for over a day so i figured that it was most likely the MAF but i just want to make sure. Thanks for any Help! I have a 99 SR5 btw. 3.4 lt

I already have the pipe just sitting in my room ready to go in.

Everyone says that you hook the hose from the IS and get a coupler to couple with the hose coming off the front plenum? Like the picture stated above. On my engine it is capped off like below.








So my main question is is there something im missing or do i just connect that hose*red mark* (FPR hose i believe?) straight onto the front plenum like so... Blue line...

*** Yes if you have a 99 you just remove the hose from the IS and remove the cap off of the front plenum and place the hose onto the plenum. Easy as 123. Thanks to "Hepar". and appreciate the input blcktpgsr. ***

C'mon people ive seen many of you guys with ISR mod in your sig... anybody with a 99? What did you do?

I'd love to help you and I've tried searching for ISR mod done on a 99 but this is the only one I found..If it's any consolation it shows vaguely where those hoses go.

Thanks man... yeah thats the one that confuses me... it shows a hose leaving from the plenum and fpr to somewhere unknown. Thanks for the bump though!

I have a 97 and the hoses are configured differently...just be patient someone will chime in if you still haven't figured it out.

Yeah ive seen the mess you have to go through, i think i would suck it up and deal with the stock... haha and yeah hopefully they do. I may just put the original setup i had and see how it works. Granted i dont want to lose power like that again. Its sucks when you leave your driveway and cant get over 10+ mph... Again appreciate your input!

Also, thanks for the picture! I recently had to replace that vacuum hose cause somehow it dry rotted on one end and kind of split and had a bad connection. so now a new hose will be better!

I actually ended up buying another tube with a slightly smaller ID so it would fit a little more snug and so that there wasn't as much slack.

Oh and make sure to reset your EFI after putting in the new pipe too.

Now just don't blame me if it ends up blowing up your engine... :driving:

Yeah i may get mine redone also being that it only cost 5 bucks anyways... haha

oh yeah which fuse is that again? isnt it a particular one? i didnt do that the first time but i did reset battery...
