Hi guys/gals,
I really wish I didn't have to ask this question, but the search tool has failed me too many times.
I figured I would do the ISR mod just for looks and maybe a little engine growl (not expecting any performance gains).
Not sure why it was so hard to find a cheap 2.75" thinwalled tube. I swore I read that someone on this forum used a 3" tube to replace the intake silencer. So I ended up grabbing a cheap 3" x 6" Spectre intake tube from Auto Zone. Of course I was instantly ticked off as the tube was actually plastic, not polished aluminum (my mistake, I never checked) but the kicker is that it appears that no amount of stretching will fit the 3" tube into the rubber flex tubes.
Has anyone else used a 3" tube and maybe I just need to force it in there and maybe use different clamps?
