Issue with door handle keyless entry/start on limited

I have a 2015 Limited and when I grab the door handle nothing happens. Worked fine the day before, go to get in it the next and its like my whole system is dead. To start the car i have to hold the key fob up to the push start button.

I changed the battery in both my key fobs and it still does not work. The unlock/lock buttons on the key fob work.

I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the system, but this did not work. i also checked the fuses and did not find any burnt out.

Only other thing I can think of is to get my car battery tested.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

So I checked my battery and it is fine. I also found the other set of fuses under the dash and none of those are blown.

Still have no idea what is going on.

Hi yeti73,

When you performed the MASTER RESET of the ECU, how long did you wait for the history logs, and temporary files to be deleted? It could up to 4hrs if only battery disconnect, and 15 minutes if jumping the NEG & POS cables together!

You may need to do that again if it needed more time!

I’m having an issue that sounds the same as this.

Door handle doesn’t lock/unlock on proximity to key fob and same deal with the start/stop button.

Only locking/unlocking with key fob buttons and holding the fob to the start/stop buttons works.

Did you ever figure out what the issue was??
