Issues with Tissues and CD Changer in Console

I just put "tissues" in the subject line to get people to read this since that seems to be such an incredibly hot topic on this forum. I need some help with the following item.

I am considering purchasing a Toyota Six Disc CD Changer for my 2003 4Runner. How difficult is the install? I would like to know specifically because I am thinking about buying one and I don't want to spend all that money unless I feel good about the installation. I know that the unit goes into the front console box for sure, but I have heard rumors that it is necessary to remove the dash, and/or remove the front console and/or possibly cut the floor carpet? Is any or all of this true?

Also, does anyone have a copy of the Toyota Instructions for the 6 Disc CD Changer Installation that they could post (or is there a link)? I would like to see if this is something that I would feel comfortable doing myself.

I would very much appreciate some help on this important item. I posted in the general area first and didn't receive any real assistance there or much feedback. Please help.

When you're posting up a topic... DO NOT FALSIFY THE SUBJECT. This will confuse other people when they search for cd changer and/or tissues.

As for the in-dash changer, Its part of the headunit.. so yes.. you do need to take apart your console. As for the cutting a hole in the floor.... i don't see why you would need to do this.

I found the tissues at Walgreens. Just thought you'd want to know.:D
 
What size tissues work the best in the player? Are they dual sided?

A search will reveal a ton of info on your "real" questions. Hint, not a great method to get people to help you.
 
I HAVE searched the forum and have not found the information that I need.

Those that are concerned about my title, how about this? Will the CD changer (if I buy it) end up fitting into the console with a box of kleenex in the holder? I think that covers myself for any misrepresentation? ( some of you have no sense of humor at all)

Now I still need some info on the specific installation. Can someone please direct me to the instructions for the Installation of the CD Changer in the console for a 4th generation 4Runner. thank you.

Not difficult to install. Just need to wire it to the console and the box of kleenex sit inside the lid so you should be fine. I believe someone put a disc changer in their glove compartment/middle console area.

Yes, the kleenex juniors work just fine with the CD player.

6 Disc Changer Installation instructions (or maybe it is a porn site and I just put "6 Disc Changer" in there so you would look at it)


And if I am not mistaken I PMed you another link to these instructions the first time you asked.

Thanks, jlb, the TS website looks very helpful, but is there anyway for me to get the instructions without paying the $25.00? (BTW, I never got your first PM).

I'm glad to see that I was wrong. Some folks here DO have a sense of humor.:p

jlb, I got it. Thanks so much. Mission accomplished, and now I'm really like'n this forum! In fact, I think I may stick around.

Oh BTW, and this is very hard for me to admit as a big manly man, but I actually do have the little junior tissues in my front console. You know, the ones with the cute little dinosaurs on them.
