so i am back again. so my problem is i have a all stock sliver 05 sr5. well i see them all the time and they are usually older people driving them.. i need something to make it stick out. i cant have my ride looking like i am 65. but i do not have the money for a full lift. so i was think about just going with the spacer lift until next summer? then sell it? i know everyone say if you are going to do it do it right the first time. but that is the best way i can think of to make it stick out. with out braking the bank. any one have any ideas? :cry2:

i had the same problem as you i wanted to stick out but didnt want to go to a full lift at the time. i went with a spacer lift(about a month ago now) and im already wishing i went with more. i love the spacer lift but i guess ill always just want more. i dont regret doin the spacer lift but if your just going to want more then do it right the first time, save the money and put towards the full lift or other mods. but if you dont mind spending money now on a "partial" lift then next year spending more money on another lift then go ahead and do the spacer lift.

also you can always run the front leveling kit with some wheel spacers and would make it stand out a little bit more. i have added a cargo roof rack on my truck and i get alot of compliments on it from other 4runner owners around. it was like 115 dollars and i love it, almost no extra noise like alot of racks

well i am adding a brush guard at some point. i am just trying to figure out what i want to spent the money on first.

thats kinda how i was. what do i want to spend the money on first. i did things like this. created a execl spreadsheet, made a list of all mods i could think of that i wanted to do, then put the price of each mod down. then started grouping things that i would do around the same time and to total the amount of money i had. after that i looked at the different "packages" i had created to see what would make it stand out the most and get the most for my money. i decided going with new oem led tails,HIDs, roof rack, spacer lift, and tire carrier(which i didnt really like so took it off).

I have a silver 05 SE V8. I was in the same position as you. First mod, day one, off with the running boards. I also wanted to lift it as soon as I got it, I almost went the spacer route, but made the decision to save up and do it right the first time. After all, XREAS still works, and tires are still good. Might as well use them up since I paid for'em

You could go spacer now and coilover later, but you will end up spending more in the long run to get the same end result.

cheap DIY's that are very low costing are black headlight mod, black emblems or de badges, tint, maybe black or gunmetal rim color? (might not be a diy for the rims) Any misc. grill mod that catches your eye? Dont need to have to lift it.. wish i could lift mine though. :nerd:
