Is there anything else to change with timing belt?

It's the V8 engine at 100K and I actually had "everything" done at a dealer yesterday, but when I checked my invoice against the "4.7 FULL timing belt change- parts list" thread I noticed that they didn't replace the t-belt tensioner(13540-50030).

So I called again and they agreed to replace it for like 60 bucks for the (13540-50030) part and the labor would be waived. The engine is interference so for the peace of mind I would pay another 60(Not really willing to, but would do).

But I really want to make sure they didn't happen to miss sth. else. (And if so I could let them put it in there since they'll take the front end of the engine apart again next week anyway(for the tensioner(13540-50030)))

So could you guys have a look at the listed parts on the invoice and give me some suggestions(on whether they missed something else that should be replaced at this time)?

That's thorough in my opionion. I've done a ton of research over the last 2 months because I'm doing my own timing belt replacement in a few weeks. I just recently ordered and received everything and your list is comprehensive except obviously for the tensioner and coolant (although obviously they replaced that).

Can't wait to have the same peace of mind you have, I'm at 97k...

When I did my timing belt I also changed the thermostat, coolant hoses to the oil cooler and throttle body along with the radiator hoses. I wish I would have replaced the heater hoses at the same time so all hoses would be new. The new hoses are really cheap, $5-10 each.

Was the water pump done? If not - do it and the spark plugs and replace with the OEM Aisin WP and Denso Iridium plugs. Was the coolant flushed?

Thanks a lot, the only hoses they changed as of now are the upper and lower ones for the rad,(16571-50200,16572-50190), would you please tell me the part names and numbers so I can let them do those while putting in the tensioner?

16281-50030 $5.46 16282-0f010 $4.15 16295-50070 $4.15 16261-50090 $4.15 16296-50030 $4.78 I also have a oil hose listed but I do not remember what it was for. 15777-50060 $9.97 , I think it is a coolant line to the oil cooler. It has been several years since I did this project. All prices are dealer cost since that is what I got them for where I worked. Delaer prices will be more.

To change the coolant line on the back side of the oil cooler is kind of a pain even with the ac compressor out of the way. There is not much room to work in there.

btw. I also found a small rad for the tranny, do you think I shall change the hoses on it as well?
Would you tell me how could I find the part numbers for the heater hoses?

I think these are the numbers. ToyoDIY.com This site used to show pictures of each but not any more. Remember mine is an 03. I did not change the trans cooler hoses but it would not hurt. Mine are still soft and can be easiyl changed at any time.
