I will be selling my 85 4Runner (in the street) to fund a "mild" build on the 07 Sport Edition V8. Small lift, sliders, skids, ARB, bumpers, 33's. We'll "start" with that, and go from there. Stay tuned...

That '07 with worth a ton. I'm actually torn on what to do. I could sell the '07, and buy a third gen, mabe 2001 or 2002, and have the $$$ left over to REALLY build it. So many options at this point that it makes it hard to decide.

One question. If I were to buy a complete rear axle housing from an FJ Cruiser, will it bolt up to all the links and what-nots in the 4th gen 4Runner?

Yeah, you should be fine. I had considered it when my e-locker retrofit started to go downhill. Only thing you would want to make sure of is that it comes from an automatic FJC instead of a 6 sp MT so the gear ratio's match up. Other than that, you should be fine. Hope that helps.
