Let me first start off by saying that this will be one of the hardest things I will ever have to do...I have to put my 4runner up for sale...yep...I actually said it.

That being said I have seen many different prices for the same model and year I have. This leads me to believe that no one quite knows what to sell them for and I dont want to give it away for less than it is worth. So I am asking for some help on the pricing of it. If anyone has any help on this or has recently sold one could you please help out?

It is in great condition, WAS A T4R OF THE MONTH and still has all the mods listed here.

05' 4x4 4RUNNER SPORT.
Upgrades: Sunroof, smoke grey leather seats.

I have changed the tires and rims since the pics were taken for the T4R of the month award. I will upload some more soon but the only difference is the tires are not as wide and the rims are the stock 17's that come on a sport.

My suggestion is to do a search on Autotrader to see what 4Runners go for in your area. Then I'd compare that with Kelly's Blue Book to compare further. Both Kelly's and Autotrader take local prices (via zip code) into consideration so that should help with price-norming.

As far as accounting for your mods, I'd plan on adding to the final price no more than 15-20% of the total price of what you paid for them as many potential buyers won't be as enamored of your mods as you and you never recoup what you spent when it comes to aftermarket accessories.

Sorry you have to sell it but I wish you good luck in selling your ride. What are you replacing it with?

trying to get rid of some debt and I have gotten it almost paid off so I figured I could sell it and get rid of my high interest credit card then buy something cheaper and get a low interest loan to drive around in...I just bought my fiance a 2004 white T4R SR5 about 2 months ago so that should give me my fix.

Many, many people I know with modded vehicles have found over the years that the mods on their vehicles do not increase the sale price much at all when it comes time to sell the vehicle. Most of these people have learned to keep all the stock parts they have replaced. When it comes time to sell the vehicle they return it to stock form and sell the vehicle that way. They then sell the mod parts to other enthusiasts that are looking for those parts at a good price.

Yes, this is more work for the seller but it usually means more total dollars for the vehicle and the mod parts.
If you still have the stock parts put them back on and return the vehicle to stock as much as possible.
Then sell the mod parts to other enthusiasts who are looking for them.

In case no one has noticed July sales for the 4Runner were Down 25.6% and YTD sales are down 21.2%.
Some might say the declines appear to signal a softening in the 4Runner market.
With fuel prices being on many people's minds selling a V8 4Runner may be more difficult at this time.

My guess (and only a guess) would be 22 - 26? Did not catch the milage? I would take 21 for mine if offered today 04 with less than 40K on the clock simple mods. As long as you did not go too mental with the mods resale should be fine. I had 7 inches of lift and custom bumpers and sliders on my old rig and it killed the resale. Kept this one tame for that reason.
