I am the proud owner of a 3rd gen 4runner!

I just picked up a clean 2000 sr5, auto, rear locker with 180k for 6grand on Wednesday. And I have to say I liked 4runners before, but after driving mine for a couple days I absolutely LOVE IT! Best car I've ever owned.

I'll post picks as soon as my computers fixed.(used my iPhone for this post)

Cheers,
-Mike

Thanks guys. So I got it just in time, we got a good foot of snow out here yesterday. Haven't had a chance to snap any pictures of it yet but hopefully soon.

And are there any members in the Utah area?

Cheers,
-Mike

Welcome! Look forward to seeing the pics.

Now go outside with it and act like a kid in the snow!

WHEW! anybody else week been as crazy as mine!?!?

I just started working at a ski resort here in Park City, Utah and I must say its pretty nuts, but I like it. I'm new to this whole winter thing so its pretty fun.

anyway I finally got a chance to load some pics of my runner, but unfortunately there just from my crappy iphone camera. let me know what you guys think!

Cheers,
-Mike

Kelsos, congrats. I just bought a 2000 limited, 4x4 locker, same color, last week and we are loving it as well. Paid a bit more than you did, though - with 125k+ on the odometer. Just curious, has yours had all the required work done to it at that price? Mine already has new timing belt, water pump, all axle seals replaced, both axles serviced, belts, hoses, fresh radiator flush and fill, and new valve cover gaskets. All I've done to it is drop in a new K&N filter, replace wiper blades, and freshen up the rear bumper trim. You sure have the right environment to have fun in a 3rd gen. Here is mine with it's new driver.

Congrats, sounds like a nice rig. Hopefully you won't get bit by the mod bug. It can get expensive :wow:

I just checked Web MD and the first symptom of the mod bug is the urge to sign up for a web forum, so it's too late for him.

Haha oh I've already got the bug, bad! Good thing my wallet keeps me from doing anything about it! haha. Also its hard to decide what to mod, my motorcycle or my runner lol.

t4r_finally, looks like you got yourself a clean rig, best color too ; ).
When I bought mine it was up on all its maintenance except for timing belt and water pump. The previous owner had all the receipts from anything she had done too it. only minor repairs like starter motor, front brakes, things like that. I read everything and anything on runners before buying it and went over everything, axle seals all look great, no leaking of any fluids.

So I'll be replacing the timing belt and water pump here shortly, also i'll be adding an external transmission cooler.

But besides all that Its in fantastic shape, I was in kind of a rush to get into something, but I'm really happy with what I ended up with.

only real issue I've had so far is the bellcranks being seized up. I took the brakes apart and removed the bellcrank assemblies just not sure how im gonna free them up. any one have experience with this?

Anyway thanks again to everyone for your kind words, T4r_finally congrats on your new ride, and hopefully I'll get to play with her a little more often!

Cheers,
-Mike

Very nice man, I'm jealous of your mileage. I'm also jealous of that bike in the background, what brand is it?
