Just because I like offroading doesn't mean I'm going to buy a honda civic and give it a 3 inch lift and MT tires. That wouldn't be a good idea would it? Of course not --- it would awkward and out of place.
If the OP wants to give his 4R a unique look, try powercoating the stock rims black like another user just did, and putting some different tires on. Same styling, but it is something different. It'll look a lot more badass than some nasty giant chrome rims.
Also, I would venture to guess that the poll results are not even about the rims you have posted in particular. If you posted just about any large chrome rims, you'll get the same results. 2 to 1 saying that they do not fit the vehicle.

There aren't alot of boulders & rocks laying on the streets around here, but there is alot of snow and ice all over the place. I wanted the 4Runner especially for winter, My Celica kept getting stuck & kept sliding every winter. Granted, not much offroading goin' on here and you will never see a canoe or anything like that on the roof rack, but I feel good knowing that I have a great winter truck. Getting out of the garage with 18 - 20" of solid half frozen snow calls for a pretty good SUV. Not to mention that it will also get you to your job faster in the morning driving through a foot of snow. I wanted the rims to put on for the 3 or so months of warm weather we have every year. I've seen all kinds of SUV's with big rims that look perfect, others are just made for "bling". I didn't seem to think that the Foose Design Speedster 6 was too blingy. As a matter of fact they are kinda plain...just a 6 spoke star design, nothing too fancy. I also may need the truck to tow some stuff in the future.

If each spoke was a different color with neons on it, then yeah you could call it ricey. I say get them rims, you can't go by what these guys are saying. I want to drive in style but I don't want to over do it. I don't think those rims would be over doing it. This is the reason that I wanted a Limited and not an SE or SR5, I normally go for the higher end stuff especially in electronics. (my sister dislikes that about me) I want to feel great going down the road...with something that I've modified to fit my style...there's going to be haters...but maybe I'll put the 4WD to use & roll right over their imports. Hows that for off roading? BTW-I had modified my Celica...she was good to me...but no more small cars for me. They suck in winter. Here's a pic...

I've seen plenty of 4runners that look fantastic with the street look as opposed to the offroading look. just because YOU dont like it, doesn't mean its wrong. Yes, a lot of us think the offroad look is better, but he paid for the damn thing, let him make it his own. Some of mine: Reliability, Quality, Person and Cargo Capacity, handling in snow, yes, even price, among multiple other things. I originally voted no. I DO like the Rims,as they are 'clean as hell', but they are not my bag. But I think Keylay brings up a good point. If they are something you're into, then I think they could look good.
I likeyour headlights(kinda) too. They are the only way to go projector pre 06, huh? Not to thread jack, but are those three little lights on the tops blue, or do you have other 'less ricey' options?
Also, there was a thread about putting large rims on 4runners, and apparently fast acceleration can snap your axle...just something to think about. I'm going with a 2/1 lift... so theres a lot of risks I'm taking too.

Personally, I don't care for the look (or performance) of bling rims on the 4Runner, but those are nice looking rims, and I think they would look 'fly' on an Urban style Runner.

You asked, I say no. I think SUV's with huge 20+ inch rims just look silly and laugh when I see them. Your comments about driving over other 'inferior' cars with your new rims however seems to indicate that you fit the mindset that would enjoy such rims so, really, it's only you that needs to decide, not us. I just feel they're way out of place on a vehicle like the 4Runner.
