I've heard of the Tacoma front end mod but.....

As I was browsing craigslist I came across this Tacoma that has had a 99+ T4R front end swapped on.... Threw me off for a second as it wasn't what I was expecting at all... I've seen the 4runner to Tacoma mod before but not the other way around

I'd skip it. That interior looks nasty. I wouldn't even sit in that for a test drive. Be careful, the front end may have been a cheap-o body shop swap to make a crashed truck sell-able.

Not in the market for one as I have a beautiful 99 highlander but am Looking for parts as my parents live in south jersey and I'll be back for the summer from college... This truck is kinda growing on me, looks wise as it looks more like the trucks that we see in international markets for some reason

Looks wise it isn't too bad imo, but that is a good point; nice to find out "why" the swap was made.

What is wrong with you two? How dare you have conflicting points of view from mine. I say that the 4Runner front end on the Taco makes it look far too similar to that girly old Ford Explorer Sport Trak. :tsk:

However, when the Taco clip is put on a 4 Runner, total beef, son. Total BEEF...

I bet that truck was in an accident and that was the cheapest thing to slap back on there. I think tacos look weird with the runner front end.

I think the only reason either mod is interesting is just that, its a mod. We like different. So the Taco~4Runner or vise versa is alway neat to see to me anyhow. Creativity is rad.

Word to that, tacoma front clip on T4R is a straight dosage of badassery.
