Just driving down the highway today and way off in the distance i see this huge huge 4runner. I had to pull over and take some pics on my phone. I have never seen a 4runner this big ever!

Here is my 96 with a 4" lift and 285's parked next to it

I have those tires in my Nitro Stampede.....I wonder if they have a 4Runner body for Stampede's....that'll look nice!

yeah right off 285 past north turkey creek if your going up the hill. I have never seen it parked there before. I guess it's good advertising.

Yeah i have an iphone. the camera on it is amazing. I was pissed i didnt have my camera with me when i saw it and then i realized i could email the pics to myself from my phone.

Hwy 285 is also known as Hampden in denver. Not sure when it turns into hwy 285, but when you take it far enough (Bailey area) in the mountains there are tones of good trails. About an hour from C-470 and 285.

Actually, not really. This has been tried in iceland, with no success. Back in '82 or '85 if my memory doesn't fail me. Later that year one '66 bronco was put on 52" tires and worked better than the monster in snow, but not really much better than the 38s that very few had. I think it wasn't done again until earl 2008 that someone went again on 50s+ (54s to be precise) two dodges and one HJ60.
Also, the driveline never handled these huge tires. Almost impossible to drive it on road and it was also TOO WIDE! lol..

They work fairly well. But the sides are abit too thick for it. We'll have to see how they'll turn up nex winter.
38s and 44s are the standard now but we are leanin' to 46s instead of the 44s. I know my next tires will be 46, they also fit under my rig, but I'm afraid I'll have to enlarge the 3rd member, lol.

Anyway, back on topic, HUGE TIRES!

Those are rockwells. Possibly 5ton rockwells because the regular 2.5tons don't look that stubby. That is a front steering axle on the rear so it can have rear steer.
