[edit- Now with fix!] Jacked up my runner's hatch?
Hey,
Last night I was trying to move a mattress, and it was a full size. It barely, and I mean barely fit in the back of my 04. I had to push pretty hard on the hatch for the auto lock feature to take over. When I got to my new house about 25 mins later, the back hatch would not open. I heard the latch trying to open when i hit the pressure sensor handle, and it kept making electronic noises. After about 10 tries the door finally opened, but it was stuck pretty good before that. I took out the mattress and tried closing it again, and it did. The auto-close feature worked as it was supposed to and it opened fine. Although I can fit my fingers under the door as there is quite the gap there, but I think thats normal(can any other 4th gen owners verify their fingers can reach under the door?). So I thought everything was good to go, but this morning I was driving to school, and now there is a pretty good rattle coming from the back. Any ideas on what that might be? I'm really pissed and worried, I just got this car a few weeks ago... and it was solid. It had 38,000 miles when I got it so the Toyota Warranty is up, but the guy bought an extended transferable 60,000 mile warranty. Anybody know how I can fix this, or if it would be covered in the warranty? I know it might be kind of petty, but I paid a lot of money for this car, and I didn't pay for it to rattle.
I do appreciate any help! Thanks gents.
