JAOS Grille Guard

I am looking for a front grille guard to go with my 2004 4Runner Galactic Gray Mica. I am planning to get the CHROME one instead of the black. The black one is only less than $400-$500. With the JAOS chrome one, the guy said that it will never rust. The price he is asking for it is $1250 NEW of course. I think it's a little bit too much.

Here is the one I am considering...

Any suggestions to where and on how much I should pay?
Color suggestion: Black or Chrome?

Thanks!

jaos makes great products, but they are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. i liked the jaos center protector, but because of the price i went for the T&H guard instead. i think T&H makes great products and i would go with them because it is cheaper. they have a 10 year anti-corrosion warranty on chrome parts.

This is the same question I posted in the thread linked below, but it is really important to me so I am copying it here:

I personally like TranceKrayz's 4runner with the chrome Tal & Hadas guards more than any other I have seen on this forum. My main concern is about them affecting the airbag sensors. I couldn't find anything about the subject here on T4R.ORG but did find a small discussion of it on edmunds:

Does anyone know if the Tal & Hadas or other guards affect the airbags?

You should also checkout that thread because I posted many links to threads about brush guards that I found useful.......mainly for the pics.

I've seen this on the streets and while they won't rust, I've seen some banged and nicked up a little. Not a pretty sight. I thought that they should be stronger. BTW, I'm referring to the crome.

Just my 2 cents.

IMHO I think the ARB bumper that will be coming out next year will be alot better than a brush guard. Probably cost about $700

I do have it on my site and it's in stock. I never heard of this company, but I checked and they aren't an "authorized" Jaos dealer. This means if there is ever a problem, or something breaks under warranty, you may be out of luck.

Yeh, I emailed & phoned Autodynamic a couple weeks ago and never got any reply. That's why i said Autodynamic might not be legitimate on my earlier post.

I agree with Jason, and that's the reason why I will get mine from him. I emailed & phoned Autodynamic a couple weeks ago and never got any reply.

And you won't go wrong with Jason's service.
