Yea I know Borla is good but thats why I am asking if this JBA is good too because it is $300 cheaper...

It looks good.......Did you read the reviews? Sounds good on the people have it on there cars and trucks. Stainless Steel and they have lifetime warranty. Let me know if you will get it. Take some pictures.

It looks good to me as well - I am also interested in purchasing this system.

Have you decided to go with it yet or not?

I'd also check with a local muffler shop and see what price they can do a cat-back for and you won't have to install it.

I got quoted just over $300 with either a 24" Magnaflow or a Borla muffler.

I'm probably going with the Magnaflow sine the 24" one isn't annoyingly loud or has a drone at speeds over 70mph.

From the looks of the muffler size, I would imagine the JBA to be pretty loud.

Not many reviews out there, but from what I could find, it's not a bad system:

I don't think this group buy is still up. The thread gives more info on the exhaust system.

T-409 is better than aluminized/galvanized mild steel, but still crap in terms of stainless steel grade. Magnaflow polished mufflers = T-304 = probably last the life of the vehicle.

I'm looking to mod my '98 SR5, I'm looking at a K&N CAI and was wanting to put in an exhaust to go with it and stumbled across the JBA Exhaust, wondering if anyone had gotten it installed on their 4Runner and if it's a solid exhaust at a great price...any info would be much appreciated!

I wonder why it only goes up to 98 and what the difference between the 98 and 99-02 exhaust wise?

the differance is that some 99 and all 2000 and up 4runners went to cali emissions instead of federal emissions. therefore the pipe that connects from the cat to the muffler will be to long. nothing a little work couldn't fix.
