JBL Amp bypass

I have a question about bypassing the JBL amp. I understand that you can tap into the wires at the connector in order to power the factory speakers via an aftermarket HU or amp. My question is, do you need to run crossovers for the tweeters and mid-bass in the front doors? Do the factory speakers have crossovers on them in the doors?
