My 05 JBL 6disk CD changer has not worked for about 2 years(radio works). It has had CDs stuck in there ever since.
About a week ago when I got in and turned on the ignition the CD player made a terrible clicking sound, as if there is a stuck/broken CD in the changer. It has continued to do this ever since. It lasts right around 30 seconds everytime.
I am assuming maybe one of the CDs finally gave out and broke?
Regardless, has anyone tried to take this apart and fix? I have read a few threads on here but not really any good information on fixing.
Seems like that once you take it apart it, the unit is done.
Would you suggest dropping 300 dollars for a new one or EBAY? Giving taking it apart a shot? Taking to someone to work on it?
I am really just out of ideas and wondered if anyone had any good advice.
Thanks
