I have installed a new Alpine HU in my truck. I've used the Metra adapter to integrate my JBL system. The sound is more accurate and crisper, but I'm missing the low end bass. I'm thinking about installing an amp and using the sub woofer level outputs on the deck connected directy to the JBL Sub. I figure I can control the x-over frequencies and levels of the JBL sub.
Has anyone done this? I want to keep the the sub without any further modifications.
As well, has anyone disconnected the center channel. What does it sound like?
