Does anyone have the stealthbox subwoofer for the 2004 toy Se? If so, where did you purchase it (online?)?

Thanks for the help.

u are suppose to purchase the jl audio stuff at ur local authorize dealer, go to www.jlaudio.com and search for a dealer, any jl audio purchase from online will not be warranty, thats all over there website

they go for 500-600 bucks, i dont think it comes with instalation too lol. go to them stereo shop that has jl audio stuff and ask them.

I had one on my old runner ('97) and it sounded amazing...was the best sounding 10" woofer I ever heard (have heard a lot). The one they make for our 4th generations is even better too it has a W3 instead of the 3rd generation's 10W0. I will definitely be getting one of these as soon as I'm done buying all my snow season stuff, I'm a new snowboarding addict :)

Just got it and installed JL stealth box for my 05 last week. Cost me $530 total without installation at local HiFi Buys. JL audio does not warranty their product sold online, so you have to have local authorized retailer order them for you. I will post some pics along with my system later. The sound is pretty good for a 10" sub.

Does the Stealthbox fit 4th gens with the double decker cargo system?

No you have to take out your shelf in the back, but the cargo cover still works. There might be a way to modify the shelf so it would work though.

It better sound damn good for $500+... and it better make me coffee and scramble my eggs in the morning on the way to work for that price too.

That's awful, JL....rediculous price gouging.... that's over $350 just for the box. No sub, no amp.

Just got mine today. i will be having it installed on Monday...

Along with my Diamond Audio D9 separates, D6 coaxes (in the rear) and my 3 JL Audio amps...:D

I agree with the price is a little on the steep side. But you do get to use the space that saved by going tuck a away box. Local shop want to charge the box(like stealth box), just to custom fabricated one without a sub, for $500.

What amp are you using to power it? How do you like the sound? Is it loud and clean,or boomy?

The amp is Kenwood KAC-8152D rated at 300 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms which is just right at JL 10W3 comfort zone. It has adjustable settings so you can set from mild to boomy plus the HU has more adjustament to make it the way I like it.

it comes with the box and sub, its a whole package, the amp is on your own, all u need is 300watts of power to it.

Follow me here, rice....
a 10W3 sub would be about $150. Take that out of the $500+ for the whole Stealthbox; and you're paying over $350 for some cool looking fiberglass, MDF, and carpet. :eek2:. I suppose if ya got the money...

well that box is built to specs of that sub, it is worth it to spend a few extra bucks, since its the only thing thats not going to be change right?

I think I'd more interested in finding someone who can make something like this . I like that I can use a different sub like the solobaric, and retain use of double decker cargo
