JOAS lamp stay for LC

I just got a free JOAS lamp stay and some 500s from a 99 LC. Anyone ever try to retro fit?
Looks like it may be an issue with my fat lip...
I am going to contact JOAS since the bar looks to be the same on all makes/models, just different mounting brackets
