A few of us will be running the John Bull Trail(3N10) on Sunday October 25th. We have a couple spots open. Meet-up will be at the Big Bear Discovery Center @9am.
Thanks to all the guys who made it. No thanks to all the D-bags who've NEVER run it before, yet had a lot of WORTHLESS advice. If u haven't run it, STFU!

There goes the thread...(sigh)

33" tires, sliders, and at least one locker. Dirtopia rates it a "double-black diamond". Supposedly a bit more difficult than Holcomb Creek(3N93), which we ran last November, and Dishpan Springs(3N34)which we just ran in June. We shall see... :suspicious:

There's only one or 2 sections that are extremely challenging, the rest is just moderate
 
Did the first half with my 97 4runner. 31's with 3in lift. At the time didn't have sliders or rear steel bumper. 2nd half is pretty sketchy but there is a way around it that you could meet up with the others at the end of the trail. Have fun!
 
I might have a buddy that will be joining us in his Tacoma. We're supposed to be doing Calico the sat. before. Looks like a double header weekend!:smokin:
 
Sounds good Eric. Danny's buddy, who does all his fabrication, is going with his built Samurai. I just got done installing my lift. Went on pretty easy. Now for the torture test! :whip2:

Lift??? Sounds awesome. How much of a lift did you do?
I don't think my buddy will be joining us after all.
 
I did 2" OME leaves. Turned out more like 5"! Hopefully it'll settle a bit... Also installed some BJ spacers. They only lift 1.5" so it's got some rake to it. I may crank the torsions for an extra .5". Gotta get it aligned now. :shocked:

Very nice. I'm sure they will settle in and you probably can't wait to hit the trail now.
Since we still have 1 spot available I invited a buddy of mine that has a Jeep. He's pretty experienced and won't hold us up at all. Waiting to hear if he can make it.
 
Hey Paul, can you add my buddy to the list. He says he will be there and hopes everybody is ok with a Jeep joining haha. If it helps he used to have 2 4Runners before the Rubicon.:shrug:
You can put him down as Billy (Rubicon).
 
No problem Eric. I don't mind at all since I've owned 5 Jeeps myself. Still have a soft spot for 'em. I'll add him to the list.

[MENTION=107654]E-ROCKER[/MENTION] Do u know of a good alignment shop around here that can handle a lifted truck without getting their knickers in a twist? The fools at GY and Firestone either don't want to touch it or insist on a 4-wheel alignment. They say they need to align the rear... I say, "ok, show me where u make the adjustment on an old live-axle truck?" :confused:
