Section 1
Ladies and Gents .. I am attempting to put together a trail run that will comprise of starting off at or north or the T-33 trail head in CO and then moving south till I get near the sanddunes ... can anyone or does anyone have a suggestion to trails to accomplish this? I want to stay on trails with a minimum amount of paved road driving .. this is my idea .. Start at T-33 and work my way towards the Corona pass... from there towards maybe empire .. summit county then from there I would like to end up at the Sanddune trail thats down by pueblo or where ever it is... I would like this to take a couple days if not 3 to 4 .. PLEASE ... I NEED HELP FIGUREING OUT THE EXACT ROUTE I WANT TO EMBARK ON ..
Well, there are literally a zillion trails in Colorado between Boulder and the sand dunes... I would break this up into a few different sections, I will start with one section from Boulder to I-70
this might be more pavement than you want, but would give you a big sample of trails without going over a 5-6 so that most 4runners could go with you.
So you start at T-33, hit up maybe Castle Gulch, if it isnt closed too(Lots of trails in area are closed) ... Left Hand Canyon, and then head back into Boulder and then out to Pennsylvania Gulch. you can then take Highway 72 or the Sugarloaf mtn trail (rated:1) out..
Head down 72 to Eldora mtn or West Magnolia, either one, both are 3's
From there, I would hit Kingston Peak, Loch Lomond (do some fishing) Maybe Chinns Lake,
and you then you are on I-70
thoughts about Section 1??? anybody have any ideas to edit it or make it better??
