Scout might not have the most modded 4Runner or the most scenic pics posted on this forum but that's understandable since he just got back from serving our country in Afghanistan. Here is the start of my picture taking. I returned on the 16th, and installed my new T&H bumper. Man's gotta have his priorities. No, really, I was trying to adapt to the new timezone my body was not use to, and decided to do some "male bonding time" with my son installing the bumper.

I'm planning on purchasing the bug deflector,like Loyd has, from Canada, as soon as I get a chance to get up there.

sorry to hear about your keying. from the pic it looks like the keying is 1/2 way between the door handle and where the door panel pinches in.

great looking vehicle.

Looking good man. I really like the T&H low bull bar. I'm looking to get one on mine with the skid plate. I'm probably going to get the chrome version though as that has a better warranty than the painted version.

Your truck is beautiful! I really like the accessories you added on already. It is weird, because I saw on the news that a lot of soldiers came back from Iraq into New York. I am not sure if it was you though! For the keying, did you try GS-27 or Turtle Wax? May not take it totally out, but it helps a lot! I hate those a-holes who go around keying peoples cars for no reason. :cannon:

Nice T&H bull bar !!! I was thinking of getting a chrome one for my Sport Edition. How much does the bull bar weigh?? Have you noticed a difference in the approach angle when braking?

I really like the black T&H bar. That would look pretty good on mine. Does it have any light tabs?

hey...nice t&h bull bar. have you considered getting the rear guard as well? i have one on mine and i think it looks good and does a lot for protection. welcome back by the way!

momo, my front bull bar has tabs for the lights....i'm pretty sure scout's does too.

TranceKrayz: I haven't thought of the back bar yet, but now you have dropped the "evil little seed of thought".

momo.75: Light bars? If you you are asking is an attachment, or holes to add more lights? the answer is yes, two holes.

Noloc: sorry I didn't look at the weight, but my 7 year old son initially helped me install it, and it wasn't as heavy as I would have thought. I'm also tyring to get use to the extra inches added to the front of the vehicle, trying to become one with the truck. I accidentally bent a Chevy Suburban's license plate when I was trying to fit into the parking space at the mall, and the Chevy driver, typical tank driver, decided to occupy more space and time.

Mark86: I returned from the 'stan. I will attempt your idea and utilize those products to buff out the scratch, once the weather in Upstate New York decides to cooperate more than one day out of five.

Sharp: I debated with the chrome, or black look, and decided to go with the black look so that I could still have the option to paint it, like lloyd did. But so far, the wife and I both like the way it looks, and it also turns a few heads.

NoDak: yes it doesn't look pretty, but with Mark86's advice, maybe the scratch will look somewhat more presentable.

I hope I was able to answere everyone's questions. And as always feel free to palagarize my ideas. To me, Copying someone's "vehicle improvements" is the greatest form of flattery.

hood protector/bug deflector

I was able to pick up the Canadian style one while visiting Niagra Falls this weekend. Now all I need is for Mother Nature to give me a break so I can do the install.
Picture will follow, once completed.

Kewl, how much did you bug shield cost you? I'm trying to talk my brother into getting one for me in Washington state.

be careful mounting the CAN bug shield. after installing the new bug shield, i have a very very nasty buzzin harmonic at anything above 50mph. i can see the center of the shield just vibrating to beat hell. i put the outer clear bumper stops to high and the center bumper stop has a gap between the shield and bumper.
