so i took my 3 and 4 yr old on a little hike. i had to carry my 3 yr old the last 1/2 mile. 4yr walked the whole way. what a trooper. let them play at the playground on the way out. oh yea, my 4runner is 2wd so i dont do anything major. simple for me.

i would like to get started in mild things offroad but nothing heavy duty. im running just 31s on 15" rims. i'm not sure i would be a good idea to go bigger than the 31x10.5 i have on there now. the only other sizes i see are the bfg 32x11.5 or 33x10.5" .... i really don't want to go much wider cause wouldn't that kill my mpg more than the 33s?? i was researching that if you have 2wd you should have a locker or something to go offroad and a winch. i know what the winch does but not sure about the locker or what it does. yea im a newbie when i comes to this stuff. but yea any ideas to do to make this a semi-offroad capable rig???? thanks, i also have the tall '99 coils sitting in my garage waiting to be installed so that should raise me up almost 2" i believe. i was thinking if wanted to keep my 15s with the 33s, then maybe my '99 coils and 1" bodylift would give me enough clearance. or should i eventually get 16" rims when these tires wear out???

hey blcktpgsr, btw i just looked at your build page.... wow very nice. i would love to follow the footsteps kinda like you did. your rig looks great. another thing, is yours 2wd also???? if so, thats even better. if so, how does it handle offroad. and how heavy of an offroad guy are you. take it ez. later

Hey Thanks, good to know my truck can lead a good sample to follow. My rig is a 4x4 with RRLockers...and if you're wondering how a locker works..well it locks both rear wheels spinning at the same speed in addition to the front, whichever has more traction...basic'lly. I do wheel my truck but not to the extreme, light to moderate for me only. take care Bud.
