Just about to start installing lift

Hello,

I'm starting to second guess myself.

My plan is/was to install 5100 in front at the 2.5 setting. And reuse the stock coils. They only have 40k on them.

I will also install 5100 on the rear and add the 895e OME coils that say will add 1"

I have TRD pro wheels on the way. 17x7 with +4 and plan to mount 255/75 duratracs on them.

Does all this sound ok?

Main questions before I start the work are...
Is it ok to reuse the stock springs up front?
Is the 2.5 setting going to be ok with adding the one inch spring in the rear

Id just like some reassurance before I start

So you’ll likely get a 2.5/1 lift give or take which will put at level or slightly lower I. The rear. If you ever have some weight in the trunk or tow your back end will sag.

For that reason I’d go with 1.75 up front

You should be easily from stock 5th gen for free / cheap if you want to replace the front end coils. I reused mine for a year, the rear was bad towing but otherwise was ok

2.5" in the front will end up leveling with the 895e in the rear, if not give some negative rake with extra load in the rear or towing. I also advise on 1.75 up front. It also takes some time to settle, so the front will be most likely be higher for a few hundred miles.

I got the fronts installed today and it seems like I've gained 3".
I think I understand that excess can be due to the potential sagging OEM parts. I'll get the rear done tomorrow and asses.

I think it sits pretty good. Might be kind of hard to tell because the driveway is a bit angled, but I don't think the front is up too high

Ya you should be all good I did 5100s on the front and rear but used newer 5th gen coils I got for cheap. It leveled mine out really well the extra inch on the rear should keep your rear a little higher than the front which will help better when towing. If you want to just make it level I’d suggest just keeping the stock coils.

I used the 1.75 setting on mine, with a 1.5 spacer on the rear. I used FJ springs. I guess 5th gen springs work well, but also Tacoma springs for the front should work too depending on how easy it is to source parts.

FYI, I regularly get in the 2 degree range on the caster setting. I would think at the 2.5 setting you're pushing the caster with stock UCA's... I'm planning on getting some JBA's to get it back into the best spec. The 2-ish degree caster is noticeably touchy on the highway. With the 2.5 setting I'd guess new UCA's are a definite must have.
