just added sub to JBL system

took the factory sub out and added an amp and single 12" hx2.
I also put in a power block in the back to dd any thing that might need alot of power in the back.

just look at the pics and let me know what you guys think!

Hey, that looks great! Give us some details on the type of AMP and speakers and maybe some pics of your speaker box. How does it sound? Did you fab something to hold the AMP?

You added that to the factory head unit? What did you use, and in-line converter to get the RCA's? If so, out of curiousity...where did you tap into the speaker wire?
 
Yes i used the factory HU and amp. The green box with the pink sticker is the high low converter sitting on top of the stock amp. The factory sub has 4 wires going to it, 2 + and 2 - perfect for a 2 channel converter.

I drilled two holes and added a bar to hold the amp. Its an old school 2 channel Harmon Kardon amp from 1991. will never over heat and is quality made, I love it!! I used a single 12" Fosgate HX2 sealed box, it puts out good bass and hits hard, but i want something cleaner, any suggestions?

Thanks for the pics.. Obviously I've never been back in behind there.. Ok, I think I get it.. you still have the factory amp for the other speakers but added a line out converter, the new Rockford amp (where the old speaker was, mounted to your new bar) and the power block. I'm a slow learner :D

Rockford sub, Harman Kardon AMP. Dont need the power block, but i put it in for future power needs in the rear. there was some trimming and stuff to seperate the grill cover from the panel, and to reinstall it with the new equipment. I dont have pics of that, sorry. If you have any questions at all, let me know.

I'm currently in the process of dynamating the truck to (hopefully) remove vibration & road noise.

Hey frank,
Yup only two bolts, one factory whole and i flipped the amp and yused that tab to drill a second whole. No vibration at all, secured fine. I was going to make a bracket also using aluminume bar, but it was too much work, and not necissary. All i hade to do was trim a little for that tab.
