While not a carfax, I found the following link handy while researching 4Runners prior to making a purchase. Simple copy the link into your browser, replace the VIN in the link with the VIN that you're searching, and hit enter. As a disclaimer, it is rumored that this search is not as thorough as a carfax, but I didn't run across a single discrepancy in the 7 vehicles that I compared directly to a carfax. Hope this helps!
