Just bought 1992 T4R, need advice (pictures inside)

I am new to the forum and new to toyotas, this forum seems like a great way to expand my non-existent knowledge. As the title states, I just purchased a 1992 T4R SR5 with 138,800 miles on it. I received some service records from the PO and this is the information I have gathered.

-Head gasket recall at ~56,000 miles
-A/C expansion valve replaced at ~56,000 miles
-Relay rod recall done at 100,000 miles
-Fuel injector pulsation dampener replaced at ~100,000 miles
-Regular oil changes, but no idea about any other fluid replacements or other maintenance.
-No timing belt or water pump replacement it seems.

What would you recommend me doing? I would think taking it to a mechanic just to have it checked out would be a good option.

Also, whenever i rev the engine there is a sound coming from under the hood that resembles the sound it makes when you put a baseball card in between the spokes of your bicycle and it only happens when i push on the gas pedal. Is this normal?

Not a bad idea. I would plan to change the front and read differential fluid along with the transmission and transfer case fluid. And put some fresh grease in all ujoints and balljoints. Besides that, run it till something breaks, then replace as needed.

Sounds like an exhaust leak or your valves could need to be adjusted (PITA job). How loud is this noise? Can you have some one else rev the engine while you try and pin point it under the hood?

Here are some shots of my two beauties, excuse the cell phone picture quality.

The sound is not very loud and it truly sounds like a baseball card in bike spokes. It does not make this sound at all unless I rev the engine, I will take a look at it more in depth tonight.

If the timing belt hasn't been done, its long over due for that service. Its not a bad idea to do all the fluids too. Better safe than sorry on those. Looks good though, the paint looks awesome for its age.
