Just bought a 2010 SR5 4x4... purchase details.

$1,750 off the ~$33,295 msrp (had several options installed).
KBB trade-in value for our old 02 Chevy Impala which was falling apart.
3.8% financing for 72 months (they were able to beat the 4.75% 72 month financing my credit union offerred), ~790 credit score.

Sent salesman back 5 times to talk to his manager, who I then haggled with over $500 more which we decided split.

Really happy with the vehicle. Couldn't justify the price of the Trail edition, but there is one on a lot in Morgan City, LA.

Coming from a sports car (Honda S2000) I really like the firm, yet not bone rattling ride. Can't compare it to any previous model 4Runners because I haven't driven any. It does feel a little top heavy when turning compared to some other SUVs I have driven.

My wife drove a 2009 Sequoia before the 4Runner and almost did not want the 4Runner after because it didn't feel as smooth over bumps (we live in Louisiana, some horrible roads here). We went back two days later, drove just the 4Runner and it felt better when not compared to the Sequoia.

I wonder why the Sequoia would ride better. The suspension is the same as the Tundra I think. The new runner has a new or revised suspension compared to Gen4.

Any Gen 4 owners notice a big difference in ride quality camapred to Gen 5?. I drove a new 08 a while back and thought it was first class in the ride department

I've had a Gen 3, 4 and now a 5th. Ride quality has improved on every model.Absolutely love the way my 5th Limited 4x4 rides with the XREAS suspension. It weighs I think like 500 lbs more then the 4th and rides so much smoother. No more fighting cross winds like in the 4th.

The new V6 feels like it is slower then my old 2006 V6 sport .But I think it is an illusion because it is so much bigger because when I look down at the speedometer I'm going faster then I thought.I hav'nt really got on it yet as I'm taking it easy til it's broke in.

These new V6's take 0w-20 oil which is a real thin oil and will probably take longer for the rings in the engine to seal before you start seeing better gas milage and power. Mobile 1 does come in a 0w-20 so that's what will be going in mine.

Looks good on the outside but IMO I like the 2006-2009 version the best, however I did test drive a new as my mom wants that or an FJ and it has more luxuries than my 2006 SR5. plus I think it was the limited but its all good.

Great 4runner - the more I see it, the more I want it. I think the base SR5 looks great! With only 38K miles on mine, it'll be a while before I can get one though Enjoy!
