I came across a good deal on a 98 SR5 5 speed that I couldn't pass up (94k, $3k). It was a family vehicle that was passed down to one of the kids who promptly "modded" it. It has some lame looking wheels, "performance exhaust" (crudely welded in cherry bomb), and a fair amount of branch scratches. No rust, brushguard with PIAA lights, motor runs great, recent HD clutch though. I'm curious where I can find both an OE style catback exhaust and a missing trim piece for the cargo area.

You only paid 3 grand!?

Yup. It wasn't as good of a deal as the one I got on my 95 Limited back in 08 ($1500, 101k, just needed catback exhaust).

$3K for for a '98 is pretty good, I paid $5K and it has 50K more miles. You might have to pay a few grand in labor to fix what the idiot kid...

Call local parts shops for price, you can find part numbers in the stuck threads.

Not really. It just needs a cat-back exhaust and a respray. I already have a cash-price quote of $750 to spray it, just need to find an exhaust for it for less than the $300 everyone seems to want.

I'm just saying you can put a few grand into it and it would still be a good buy considering what you paid for it.

Definitely. I'm going to restore it and turn it into a weekend driver for my wife and the dogs. I just ordered the exhaust parts from partsgeek for $150.

The part I'm looking for is what I would describe as the plastic door jam for the rear hatch. I need it in brown/tan.
