Just bought a used 4runner- A little concerned...

I just bought a used 97 4runner with 122xxx miles on it; I'm a little worried because I noticed clunk/jolting "feeling" when applying and releasing the breaks. It is EXACTLY like the problem described in this thread:http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?t=975 but I wasn't sure if something like this affected the 3rd gens? It doesn't happen all the time and you can't really hear anything but you can definitely feel it.

If anyone one can provide any insight please do!

Sorry, I can't help you as I am not a mechanic by any means, but maybe someone else could chime in and give you some helpful info.

I wrote a step-by-step for someone a while back

you basically just have to lube the driveshaft

I am going to try the lube thing...but I was told by a Toyota mech. that it was the motor mount??

Hmmm... well I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm going to try the lube thing first too... We'll see how it goes
