Just bought my first 4runner..

its 5 speed v6 4 door awd 1992 with 31 inch tires and a 2-3 inch lift.. i picked it up yesterday and first thing i did was go offroading.. infact because of that i havent had time to put the car under my name lol:bash:
now I forgot to ask the guy who sold it to me where the parking brake was because he always kept it in first and now so do I.

I know it seems like a stupid question but WHERE IS IT

also my rpm guage doesnt work and neither does my odometer
how can i fix those 2 things
ill post pics asap

You didn't say where you're located... but if it's a left hand drive, then the parking brake should be located above your right knee. The parking brake should be under the ignition key, to the right of steering column and left of the center stack (radio and HVAC controls). To set the brake, you pull the lever towards you. To release, press a button to the left of the level handle and turn it clockwise about a 1/8-1/4 turn. From what I recall, the '92 4Runner interior is nearly identical to its pickup truck counterpart. We had a '90 pickup.

Most people on here are very knowledgeable about the workings of the tr4, but in my experience (I also own a 2nd gen too) the nitty-gritty discussions of engine talk about previous gens are on yotatech.com.
