just hit 90000 miles in my 2003 4runner. so far the only thing that needs to be replaced are my rotors. I can't believe that that's the only thing that needs to be done. a lot better engineering than my explorer.

Does the v8 contain a belt or is it a chain? I do know that I will have to replace the drive belt because of wear and tear.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... It does have a belt. Good procedure is to do the water and pulleys too while you're in there.

I'd also fluid change front to back.

FYI- your V8 is referred to as a 2UZ-FE engine.
