What a freaking pain in the a$$!!!!!
Two quick tips for those that decide to install these....
1 - Take a utility knife or razor blade and cut slices in the corners of the pedals. This will allow you to fit the lip on the backside of each pedal cover a lot easier. You still have to do a lot of wrestling and twisting in order to get it on, but this helps a lot.
2 - Get a stubby flat head screw driver. You can use this to work the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th sides of the pedal covers. Take the tip of the screw driver, slide it between the pedal and cover, and then you can follow the edge of the pedal with the screw driver, from front face, to edge, to back face, kind of pulling the screw driver along this path. Doing so will allow you to bring with the tip of the screwdriver the lip of th pedal cover. A big finger-saver!!!
And I did notice a difference. While there is a slight difference in the gap between the gas and brake pedal now, what is more noticeable and makes a difference is that the pedal cover for the gas goes over the existing gas pedal (It's a 1 piece molded plastic design) With the brake pedal, you pull off the rubber pedal cover first. So in essence, the "depth" between the faces of the two pedals is now reduced by 1/4-3/8" now. Doesn't sound like much, but it did make a difference. (at least for me, with the size 12 feet)
