Just got 1992 T4R and got overheated...

Hey guys, I live in Uzbekistan. I just bought my '92 4Runner, drove it for a week and today I noticed white smoke coming out from the pipe (it didn't do it before). I don't think I drove it like that for a long time. Water level was low. I had to add 1.5 l of water.
How bad can it be?.. It idles and runs fine. I'm all freaked out now.. Please help.

Hi there in Uzbekistan...if you haven't found out the problem yet...
Kinda sounds like the Head Gasket problem which the 92's (through 95's I think) have. My 4R did the same before the head gaskets blew. I'd contact the local toyota dealer and ask them some questions about your problem and the recall on these 4Rs. Although I'm not a mechanic, I believe that typically, white smoke means that oil or coolant is burning somewhere within the engine.
