Just got Automatic Transmission Fluid changed & flushed but now smell bad odor

Hi everyone, can anyone please advise:

I just got my transmission fluid flushed and refilled but now each time I "put the pedal to the floor" I smell a bad odor coming from the vehicle. I checked the fluid levels from the dipstick and all seems normal. Is this common after you flush out the tranny fluids? The smell is like a bad skunk or burnt smell. It has been two weeeks and at first I thought it was other vehicles in traffic. Is this good, bad or normal? When I drive normally, no smell and shifting is perfect.

Smell like burning oil or like ammonia and sulphur?
EDIT: I just saw this... "The smell is like a bad skunk or burnt smell."

Have them double check for leaks or sloppiness. A little oil/fluid on the exhaust will go a long way to stinkin'.

When do you smell it? Do you ride with the back window down? When is it most noticeable.?

You said bad skunk; is that to be contrasted with a good skunk?:lmao:

What kind of fluid was used? Hopefully it was refilled with the correct Toyota fluid and not just whatever the place had in stock at the time.

I would lol say the smell is close to sulfur. It only happens when I accelerate fast. I normally drive with the drivers side window down and the back windows are slightly down as well. According to the service contract it was filled with the proper fluids according to the owner's manual. I will most likely take it easy on the vehicle and take it in this weekend back to the dealership. Hopefully, they can determine the cause of it. My old mechanic mostly likely said there is a leak of some sort or whoever did it did not replace the parts correctly.

I noticed the smell last week other than that it was fine. (Before taking it into the dealership for a 60K mile tuneup) The car has about 57K)

If you are riding with the tailgate window down, even a little bit, you may be smelling exhaust.

You trany is fine. What you smelling is exhaust. Toyota has TSB on that. Search this site for it. What's "bad skunk" smells like anyway? Because where I live, there are only good skunks

lol yea in my book all skunks r "bad" lol puahahah I actually searched more on this forum board and came across this: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=393 but the thing is I do live in CA and according to this thread I should not be smelling sulfur. I hope it is this diagnostic and not something to do with my tranny. Ohh well guess I won't find out unless I take it to the dealer this weekend. LOL, dam I hope it is not my cat converter either.
