Just got hit with a maintenance trifecta (& then some)!

Well, after this last spell of cold weather & snow my battery bit the dust HARD! So I lift the hood to jump it. and take the battery back to Wally for free replacement (warranty), and discovered my hood supports aren't supporting much anymore (1). While my hood is open, I also discover my A/C condensor looks damp in one area and has bubbles coming out of it. Oh goody - a leaking condensor! (2). And as if that's not bad enough, as I was crouched down and looking underneath, I noticed I have a torn cv boot as well (3). Woo hoo. Un freakin believable. Looks like I've got some work to do soon.

Well, the condensor can wait I guess. Everything else needs attention. Just because the CV boot is torn doesn't mean you need a new CV joint.

My hood supports are also shot. I have the extended warranty so hopefully they are still covered.

If you're lucky enough to catch a torn bellows on the CV, you should replace it right away. If you don't, it will quickly "pump" all the grease out of the joint and then you're basically screwed. Trust me, CV joints don't last long without the boot being packed with grease.

Some fun! Well my drivers window just fell in my door, it must be the season for it!
