Just Got Home With My '06 Runner!!!

Picked up my 4Runner tonight!!! :D Went to my local Toyota dealer to browse a bit, ended up driving home in an '06 SR5 4WD in Titanium Metallic. 31,000 miles, near mint condition, Toyota Certified, third row seats. I am not too fond of the third row seats, so they may come out. Can't wait to get out and put some miles on her this weekend!!! Really can't wait to get her down to the beaches on the Outer Banks!! Pics to come soon!!!

Congrats and welcome to boards. Mods are endless for your ride. I'd start with interior and work your way out.
 
The first mod is getting a Sirius receiver in. My Rover had a Sirius deck in it. I am thinking I may move my Sirius account to an add on unit, and leave the OEM deck in place. Next will be rubber mats and a rubber mat for the trunk. Will also add a bug deflector at some point.
 
Congrats!!! Ahh I can remember the day I picked her up.....I was lucky, got to drive 17hrs stright back to KC from VA and loved every hour and mile. The 3rd row seats according to my bro are pretty rare to find. Guess Toyota only had a few US regions they marketed them to, looks pretty cramped? I am assuming the wheel base is the same as mine or others.

I have XM permanently installed in my Runner and love it. I also have a Sirius account going into a portable unit I can play through my home stereo or car stereo, or plug in headphones and go running.

The best thing about the portable unit is anytime you hear a song you like, you just hit the save botton and it will record it onto the internal MP3 drive! Mine will hold like 50 hours of songs, ands the really cool thing is I'm saving songs from groups all over the world that I've never heard of! Really cool euro trance stuff from the UK and Scandinavia that you'd never hear on US (terrestrial radio).

When you have a chance, visit www.weathertec.com and do a search for floor liners (not floor mats). I just bought a set of the floor liners for the front and back floorboards and I LOVE them. They fit perfect and cover alot more of your carpet than just floormats would do.

For really high quality washes, waxes and other detailing supplies, go to www.autopia-carcare.com to buy the products; and www.autopia.org to learn about all the products.

Get the old credit card ready!

Do some research. If the radio you have in their is not XM ready, then you could purchase a Scion radio (as many here do.. it's a direct fit) and buy the XM Kit for it.

I just picked up a rare Scion/DVD unit and will purchase the XM kit for it.

As much as I will miss my Rover, I am NOT going to miss the maintenance headaches!!!! :D
