Just got me a new toy(New to the truck scene) need pointers

Hey guys I just got a 92 runner sux that its rwd and auto :/ but hey I'm gonna make the best of it really just want to take it for a few small jumps and have fun driving it. So first thing first I need new tires its been sitting for about 4 years what size is good? 33? What's the actual full tire size I should get? I have the stock Toyota 15 inch wheels on it, I like that beefy look also want a small lift inch or 2 nothing crazy. I was told to get a rear locker and regeard but how much does that run? I can do the work myself I'm well experienced on cars and trucks but I've never done the aftermarket scene on trucks. Let me know on some good sites to get parts and good prices I want to dd this 4runner so also don't wanna get to crazy needs to b reliable thanx for any of your help.

Here is a couple piks of it its already thrown a rod and blew a trans "supposedly" has a different motor and rebuild trans we will see how true that is my dad had a bunch of backyard mechanics work on it were he lives and I just don't really trust them so yeah ill find out for sure after I drive it

I see a huge conflict here! Jumping any vehicle without extreme modifications will trash everything! These vehicles aren't designed to take the abuse of jumping and you'll be sure to destroy your new 4runner.

I would suggest that if it's a 2wd 4runner, you leave it stock and just drive it normal. If you want a toy to go play in, get a 4wd model and go from there.

If you want to baja your truck without destroying it, you'll need:

beefer motor and transfer case mounts
reinforced frame
long-travel front suspension with stiffer springs and at least twin doublebypass shocks
ditto in the rear
bad-ass IFS and belly skids
probably lots of other stuff I don't know about because I like my truck and don't do that sort of thing to it. You're talking at least 10 grand here in modifications.

You'll be able to upgrade to 31 inch tires without affecting streetability too badly, but any farther and you'll want to regear. That's not as bad for you because you have no front differential - ring and pinion sets run around $200, plus or minus, or you can look for a used 3rd that already has the ratio you want set up.

Ok well I guess I won't b jumping but I've always driven my cars like toys and really pushed them to their limit and if something breaks I just fix it. I do want a small lift with the beefy tread on the tires ill probably be regearing it can you give me a link to a site that has the parts just so i know exactly what I'm looking for I don't want to order the wrong parts. I know its not 4wd but I gotta b able to have some kind of fun in this thing!!!! If I wanted to drive it normal I'd might as well bag the thing but I'm tired of going slow and low.

I jumped my truck once.... Went over railroad tracks too fast(the kind where the tracks are on a peak of a small hill) when i landed the rear window fell down( it never opened before that due to rusted mechanism).

It was fun as hell
