Hi everyone, new to the community here. I just bought my first SUV/4wd/etc., a 1999 SR5. It is Desert Dune, tan interior, 120k on it. Seems to be in great shape, other than a couple little things like the antenna not going up (going to do the Tacoma whip). I also put a b&m 70264 on it as soon as I got it home, just to be on the safe side. I do have a few questions though.
1. The OD/off button doesn't work. The transmission works great, smooth, etc., but the button on the shift lever doesn't work. Any ideas?
2. I had a bit of a jumpy idle, surging about 200rpm when stopped. I floored it a couple of times to see if it was just some carbon build up in the intake and valves and it seems to have fixed it. We'll see.
3. It has the security light for the RS3000 alarm, but I can't find the brain. It isn't under the seats. The remote is not stock, but it works to lock/unlock the doors.
There's something I'm forgetting, but I'm sure I'll remember tomorrow. its a different world, being that I just came from 2 Porsches to this, but its a great DD that will be a lot of fun and will keep the miles off the next P-car I get.
