Just installed 2015 Trd Pro 4runner suspension on 4th gen!

I like the new look, got abother set of trd beadlock wheels with 33" bfg mt ko2 I like the more rugged look.

The pro coilovers was also wider on the bottom where it connects to Lower control arms sorry can think of the name right now. But had to widen it for the them to fit. Not really a big deal just glad I got them done at the shop where we had all the tools we needed. Would of been a pain to do at home.

The rears believe it or not was already tapped to mount resi. I was surprised I thought we would of had to drill a hole in the frame. I think 4th and 5th gen share similar if not the same frame.

So to clarify, is this the only setback to installing a 5th Gen suspension on a 4th Gen? I've been seriously eyeing up the new BP-51 setup from OME and am curious what would probably stand in the way of these not going in.

Yea that would be the only thing you would have to do. Other than that bolt on application. If it's a decent deal get it I don't regret putting these on one bit.

Thanks! Yea I've always liked that feature on older 4runners with the lettering don't know why they stopped it. you can buy this on ebay it's an exact oem size and reflective lettering.

Not very much maybe half the price of toytec lift kit.

Looks great OP, good for you for blazing a trail for rest of us 4th genners.

I do have to say, it does NOT look 3" higher up front. The TRD Pro in itself is supposed to be only 1-1.5" higher than other 5th gens, so not sure it will give us 4th genners a 3" lift. Your pics also do not seem to me like a 3" lift.

Yea your right. I think it's more of a 2.5 or just a little over 2" lift. My understanding is using thr 5th gen coil would generally give you 1" lift. But the pro 4runner is I think another 1" taller than the non pro 4runner so combined lift of 2" or so. I didn't get to measure it before and after I should of just couldn't wait to install. I will be running another 2" BL soon run 35s. Can't wait and thanks!

What exactly did you have to do to the bottom mount? Did you have to cut and Reweld the tab, bend it out, or just just shave some material off the inside of the mouthing surface to accommodate the width of the new shock?

I'm also curious what exactly needs to be modified. Guy locally is selling complete nearly new (2016 200mi) TRD Pro suspension with UCA's, Rear arms, panhard, everthing.
