Bimbo is correct about the Icon 3" springs having way to stiff of a spring rate for applications w/o bumper, fridge, etc. the MTs might even be too stiff if you do not run a lot of weight in the back. The All-Pro 3.5" springs have a much softer spring rate (15% over stock), but not sure if you really want that much rear lift? If so, you will definitely need longer rear shocks. There just aren't many good options for a 0ff the shelf 3" lift with a spring rate that isn't designed for heavy expedition rigs.
haha... its Bumbo dude. You are going to make me regret choosing this handle if it sticks haha.
Going back to your point about jacking up the vehicle even higher... Based on my research, it seems like once you go past 2" it seems to start becoming pretty application specific... plus its not hard to find yourself in that next price bracket... it really just depends on what you want to do with it.
I still think you are better off lowering the front... I don't know... I am only speculating based on what I see with my own rig. I cant get my caster to spec, its boarder line... any higher and I'm pretty sure I need UCA. I just wasn't ready to go there yet.
How do your CV angles look?
Have you tried getting it aligned yet?
Do you need UCA?
Just for visual reference... here is mine with the 6112 with the notch setup like in the picture above. Rear is OME 2" 2895 (260 lb spring rate) .
Completely empty...
Fronts measure (center of wheel to fender) 23"
Rear measure (center of wheel to finder) 24"
It levels out with my full load out... I would estimate 200-300 lb? The cooler, gas, and water on the hitch mounted carrier is off axle too.
Personally I am pretty damn happy with the 6112 setup the way they are and I've used mind in all sorts of terrain. I am running 5100s in the rear, and I do plan on upgrading soon.
