just installed Bilstein 6112, rear setup is the issue...

finally found the time to lower front Bilstein's a notch.

she sits level now.

so i got a deal on some ICON rear springs, was thinking of swapping them out since i have ICON rear shocks, should i or just leave them be... same specs both have a 2'' rear lift.

That ting lookin' SWEET!!
IMO, swap em! I wish I could honestly answer you. My readings are telling me that the 5100s are a bit harsh on the rear end. If you get your money back, would you do this setup again? I'm looking at your rig and going out of my mind. I've got the 08 4x4 Sport in white waiting for a complete suspension upgrade. I want to pull the trigger on the rear ICONs setup. Where can I get a deal on rear ICONs shock and spring?

thanks buddy!
i have a friend who can get them for a little cheaper, ICON's are the same price everywhere... me being OCD (i think most of us here are) would like the same setup front and back... or at least matching shocks and springs. i love the front Bilstein 6112 on 4th notch, rides smooth not to stiff a little nose dive on hard braking.
i might as well get the dang springs and sell the Toytec Super flex's and rear Bilstein 5100 setup.

I have 3 rings showing, I think that is 1 down from the tallest... I have a 2" OME spring in the rear, and the 4Runner sits almost perfectly level. Its actually a hair taller in the rear so when loaded its literally perfect. Just the way I wanted it. I actually like a little rake when completely empty.

I already feel like I am on the brink of where the CV angle should be... yours must be pretty intense. You should post up some pictures. You really don't want to run into issues here.

Are you running upper control arms? I have the stock arms, but the tallest notch seems like too much. You might need it for alignment going that high.

Personally I would lower the front before raising the rear. I know it sucks, but that's the route I would take.

Those 3" ICON coils are also for some serious weight handling... you may not like the ride if you unless ur hauling around a persistent load. It is a dual rate / progressive spring so it might be ok.

Hey there, really like your setup. You show in your pic 3 rings showing, did you different for driver side rings to compensate for driver side lean? I went with the Toytec Superflex that's supposed to give my a 2" lift in the rear. Hoping to get same lift as your setup. thx!

hey guys i need your input on this,
my rear set up is Toytec 2" Superflex's with Bilstein 5100's..

Do you have the Toytec Heavy duty Springs springs or something? I have the toytec RCC2.0 springs / 5100`s on mine and the ride is really nice.

By the way, do you have a V6 or V8? thx

Both 6112 shocks are setup in the same 3 ring showing position.

I used a 1/4" spacer on the driver side to correct the lean which worked out perfect when measuring ride height. This was a recommendation from Wheelers Offroad.

i was thinking i had to do that too, but seems Bilstein released new version or instructions. mine has specific instruction for V8s which i didn't see online or on any post. Says to match ring groove on each side where V6's you dont have to. starting the process now, jacked up and doing prep work and planning. yay! wish me luck it's going down. debating to go pick up a new Milwaukee torque drive lol. compressed one of my struts last night that was sketchy..
